What did everyone do for Thanksgiving this year? Ryan and I had the pleasure of flying to Hawaii to visit my sister, Sarah, and brother-in-law, Logan! You may remember them from pictures earlier in the year. We had an amazing dinner, and even did a few adventuresome things that I'll show you later! Sarah's friend, Britni, hired me to take pictures of her and her husband while we were out there - those are my next post! So I had all my gear, and Sarah's wedding dress was just hanging in her closet so I talked her into trashing it! We got up early Sunday morning and had some fun, as you can tell! I honestly don't think we ruined it, it's at the cleaners. I'll let you know how it turns out! Once we got her in the ocean it turned into a big soggy, heavy mess, so it was definitely a learning experience! Here's a few of my favorites!
I know this picture isn't the greatest, but you can get the general idea! We went cage diving Saturday morning with sharks! I've always wanted to do this and it was amazing, but the water was really rough so I got bruised up a bit. We have a cool underwater camera and it was all Ryan could do to get a picture of me with a shark in the background. We were surrounded by about 30 Galapagos sharks, 5-8 feet long. Everyone got seasick except for me! This was definitely an adventure only I was interested in...thanks guys!
Later that same day, we went on another "adventure" that everyone enjoyed except me. A hike to the "pillboxes" to see the full moon - Sarah's friend Emily said it was an easy 15 minute hike, but not for me! I was dying! This is the last part of the trail where it got easier, but the first part was straight up and rocky! I never claimed to be a mountain climber...
I had to get a picture of the view! I look a lot happier than I felt...
Here's the view of the city once it got darker. We didn't wait for the moon to come out - we realized if we did we'd be climbing back down in the dark and the daylight was hard enough!
